01 Research

Research often consist of both user studies and external analysis, also called desktop research. User study Through interviews, surveys, and workshops we often examine the following questions: What characterizes the product user? What needs do our users and stakeholders have? What areas for improvement does the product have today? External monitoring and analysis Through trend surveillance and benchmarking of other existing solutions in the product area, additional insights are generated that complements the insights from the user study. The feasibility study ends with an analysis and compilation of insights that form the foundation of the project continuation. By understanding the stakeholder's needs, solutions can be created which meet the needs in a user-friendly way, resulting in good user experiences. If we also understand the position of the outside world within the product area, which other solutions are available, as well as what strengths and weaknesses they have, we truly get a chance to create a unique, competitive, and well-designed solution that adds value to people life.

02 Ideation, prototyping & user testing

Based on insights from research, ideation is carried out with the help of workshops, creative exercises, and the creation of user scenarios. The ideation phase should result in ideas with high potential. These ideas are described and visualized, after which feedback is retrieved from users and other stakeholders. Based on insights from this feedback, a solution is formed and defined, after which a detailed prototype is developed. The prototype is further evaluated through user tests, which informs what is needed to further improve the user experience.

03 Information architecture

Based on all information from previous process phases, a information architecture is now being designed. This defines the interaction between users and products or systems. The information architecture determines in which order different interactions happen, how they work, and how they must be designed visually. This constitutes the manual that guides the final product design.

04 Graphic Interface Design

In this phase, the product's visual expression is designed. People judge products in a few moments - a lot based on their visual appearance. It is therefore important that the visual expression is attractive and well adapted to the context of the product and target group - but at the same time matches the client's graphic profile and stated preferences. In addition, great focus is placed on creating clarity. To achieve this, the information architecture is used which is based on examination of and testing with the product users and other stakeholders. It is extremely important that the right information comes at the right stage and in the right amount. Metaphorically, the information architecture can be seen as a skeleton as the visual design as its clothes.

05 Usability evaluation

Do you want help to evaluate an existing product from a usability perspective? In this case, I can offer a usability evaluation. The product is reviewed and evaluated regarding usability, visual expression, function, and problem areas. The result is a compilation of improvement proposals that can be presented in text or visuals depending on your needs.

06 Innovation catalyst

Through well-planned workshops, interviews, and creative exercises, I help employees and other stakeholders to create and build their ideas for product development or other internal development. The insights are compiled, analyzed, presented, and handed over as a roadmap of how the company can take their next steps.

07 Art Direction

As an Art Director, I review all channels of visual communication, conducts interviews with people both inside and outside the business, compile insights, and make suggestions on guidelines and visual expressions. The goal is to create a consistent visual and literal language used in all channels, suitable for the target group, context, vision, and values. A consistent and unified expression facilitates recognition among users and results in clearer communication with the market.

08 Visual design & storytelling

I'm a trained Interaction designer, but I was born as an artist. I offer a broad range of visual design and storytelling services. These could be illustrations, logotype design, visual identities, visualization of data, or user stories, etc. I also love to help with unconventional and emotionally engaging storytelling, as well as storyboarding, movie editing, animation, and audio editing.
